Our Story

Inspired by the guardians of the vineyard.

Est. 2026

The name Fox and the Falcon pays homage to two of nature’s quietest vineyard protectors. In winemaking regions around the world, falcons circle high above the vines, deterring grape-loving birds that threaten the harvest, while foxes roam the rows below, keeping rodents and pests at bay. Together, they create balance, preserving the vineyard’s rhythm without need for force or interference.

That same harmony is what inspires the spirit of the bar: a place that celebrates connection between land and glass, people and place, tradition and discovery. Here, wine isn’t just poured; it’s shared, savored, and experienced.

MEET THE OWNER: RYAN WHITE

Ryan’s love of wine began with a moment he’ll never forget. Years ago, while working as a caddie at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, he met a couple celebrating their wedding weekend. What started as a round of golf turned into an unexpected friendship, and to his surprise, they invited him to their intimate wedding the next day.

At dinner, the server refreshed Ryan’s glass. He took a sip and paused.
“That’s not the same thing that was in my glass before,” he said.
The server smiled. “No,” he replied, “no, it’s not.”

Something shifted in that moment. It wasn’t just the wine — it was the feeling of discovery, of connection, of being welcomed into a world he hadn’t known existed.

That spark became the foundation for The Fox and the Falcon: a place built on curiosity and care, where people can explore, learn, and find the wine that changes their world, too.
